BCG: 1-to-1 chats with BCG Consultants

Dear Aalto Business student,

Have you ever wanted to have a one-to-one chat with a BCG consultant and ask everything you’ve been having on your mind regarding management consulting and BCG? Now you have an unique chance to do that in our very casual mini mentoring event in our BCG Helsinki Office on Thursday, February 15th, starting at 18:00.

During the evening you’ll have the chance to have a one-to-one chat with one of our consultants for approximately 20 minutes. You can ask everything you have on your mind regarding for example consulting in general, projects they work with, BCG as a workplace, case interviews, or you can spend the time just to have a casual chat about everything mentioned and get to know each other!

While others are having the one-to-one sessions, you can network with other BCGers and your fellow students elsewhere and enjoy pizza from Via Tribunali and drinks. Please apply through this link with your CV and unofficial university transcripts (optional) by Sunday, February 5th. The event is targeted towards students preferably in their 2nd-year of studies and up.

We will schedule the one-to-one sessions beforehand to make the event run smoothly. You will be informed about your time slot beforehand, and you are welcome to arrive just before your slot or spend the whole evening with us and come earlier.

Register now for real case -based SCM Capstone course

The SCM capstone course with real cases is starting again in January! The course called “Capstone: Future-proofing supply chains” is run by Prof Katri Kauppi and built around students working on a real case assignment. Reima, Posti and Kemira are all providing exciting SCM cases to work on!

In case Reima you get to understand product returns related logistics and analyze alternative reverse logistics operations models, considering the business case, operational aspects and sustainability.

In case Posti, you get to forecast and design the future of Postal services in Finland, considering operative logistics aspects, product portfolio and pricing.

In case Kemira, you get to analyse and redesign the supply network of a global manufacturing company for optimal balance between efficiency and availability.

The course has a slightly different class schedule given the real case format (Lectures and workshops in weeks 1 and 2, only groupwork in weeks 3-5 and final presentation to case company on week 6).
