The primary purpose of the Aalto BT membership form for gathering personal data is
adding individuals to the member register of Aalto BT as required by Finnish
Association Law. The secondary purpose is consenting for receiving newsletter
emails and meeting invitations from Aalto BT by becoming a member. The member
may cancel newsletter subscription at any point but the association may still send
emails for important association matters.
The board of Aalto BT is required to keep a register of its members by Finnish
Association Law and the data required includes name and city of residence. In
addition, an email address is required by the board of Aalto BT for communicating
on membership matters with members. Starting year of the studies is collected for
targeting emails to specific study years and alumni as the association does not have
access to student data from Aalto University.
By filling this form you agree to give the aforementioned personal information for
the purposes stated earlier. Your data will only be handled by members of the board
of Aalto BT. The data will not be given to third parties and will not be used for any
other purpose.
If you wish to receive information of your personal data collected with this form, alter
it or resign as a member of Aalto BT and thus have your data removed, please
contact the board of Aalto BT at board@aaltobt.fi.
